It seems there are two possibilities here that we need to talk about…
Either, you’ve already got a brilliant idea, or two, of something you want to do online, and you want to know if they are worth taking to the next level,
You have absolutely NO idea about what you could do online, but you are keen to have a go at it… if only can you discover some things that you might actually be interested in pursuing further!
Either way, this exercise should be able to help you!
There are four main areas I want you to look at. These can provide some clues as to what you could / should do (or NOT as the case may be). And these are the things that:
- INTEREST you, along with the things that BORE you to tears,
- You ENJOY DOING, and also those things you HATE doing,
- You are GOOD AT, and also those things you are HOPELESS at LOL, and
- May be related to your WORK (past or present).
It’s time to take a trip back in time (again, sorry)… and go back over some of the things you have done in your life. And try to remember some of those things listed above.
I can’t really take you too much further in this lesson as I haven’t got any clue to what actual answers you’ve written down. Except to say that I would be VERY surprised if you didn’t now have a whole HEAP of different things you could possibly have a good go at doing online!
And that INTEREST (or maybe even PASSION) you should have in those things, is going to give you a huge advantage!
Some people actually say you DON’T need to have this “passion” to succeed online. They say that passion alone will not be enough to succeed… and “passion doesn’t sell product”… blah blah blah…
So here’s what I would say to them…
Doing Something You Enjoy That Has Business Potential!
Hopefully, you’ll wake up every day, MOTIVATED to take on the world with your new business! And stay up late at night when you need to for nights on end, EXCITED about giving it all you’ve got because you LOVE what you are doing!
And the COMMITMENT that comes from your passion will help you deal with all those nasty shiny objects that attempt to distract you from your main purpose 🙂
Sounds pretty good hey! Especially useful for someone just starting out with an online biz! Perhaps once you’ve got a bit more experience behind you, maybe the “passion” element might not be so important then…
OK… so now you’ve hopefully got a nice long list (or pile) of things you could possibly do online? What next?
We’ll find that out, in the next lesson
But if you haven’t got a list?!
Hmmm… Not good! Maybe it might actually be a good idea to have a one-on-one talk to somebody about what you have in mind! Hopefully, they will be able to give you some further direction.
Otherwise? Well, it might be better to think about doing something else!
